UNC Police supports the University’s core mission of teaching, research, and public service by developing partnerships that, through the encouragement of problem-solving and communications, seek to identify and address public safety needs with professionalism and integrity, all while protecting North Carolina’s future.

UNC Police at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is committed to being the leading community-oriented police department in the United States.

Through open and honest communications both internally and externally, we will foster a work environment that respects and values all of our department members and encourages individuals within the organization to contribute to an overall team atmosphere supporting department excellence.
