Fingerprinting services are currently unavailable. An update will be provided on this page when services resume.
Fingerprinting services are available Monday and Tuesday between 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m., excluding university holidays. This service is provided exclusively to UNC-Chapel Hill affiliates for a fee of $15 made payable by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) at the time services are rendered.
Please park in the
relocated visitor parking spaces at the
Public Safety Building while construction is ongoing in the area. Pedestrian access to the Public Safety Building remains available via the front entrance. Face masks
must be worn at all times while attending your fingerprinting appointment.
Please ensure that you bring the following documentation to your appointment:
- A valid UNC One Card or a UNC Hospitals ID
- State-issued identification or a government-issued passport
We will be unable to provide fingerprinting services if you do not have the required identification.
Live Scan is digital fingerprinting and transmission of the impression directly to the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for processing.
Please ensure that you bring the following documentation to your appointment:
- Applicant Information form
- A valid UNC One Card or a UNC Hospitals ID
- State-issued identification or a government-issued passport
Please be sure to bring all of your application materials with you. If any information on the Live Scan Applicant form is missing or incorrect, we will be unable to provide fingerprinting services.
NOTE: Before scheduling your appointment below, download, save, and complete the
Fingerprinting Release form. This form must be included in your submission.
