Lost and Found
UNC Police manages lost and found property that is turned into the Public Safety Building. UNC Police holds items for six months. Please review the below listing of lost items currently in UNC Police possession. If you believe an item to be yours, please call UNC Police with a detailed description.
TIP: Check the location you last remember being in possession of your property. Often times when individuals find property, they will turn it into someone in the building where it was found.

- House Undergraduate Library
- Graham Student Union
- Davis Library
- UNC Hospital
- Kenan Stadium
- During an event, patrons may inquire about lost items at Gate 2 or 6
- After an event, please email the UNC Athletic Event Management Department
- Dean Smith Center
- During an event, patrons may inquire about lost items at Entrance B
- After an event, contact Smith Center Lost and Found or call 919-962-7777
If property is lost on a Chapel Hill Transit (CHT) bus, contact them to ask about lost property.
Property that is lost within the Town of Chapel Hill is sometimes turned over to the Chapel Hill Police Department.
