UNC Police is undergoing the reaccreditation process through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). As a part of this process, UNC Police is requesting public feedback from the Carolina community through CALEA’s Public Comment Portal.
The purpose of this public portal is to receive comments regarding an agency’s compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in the service community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for accredited status. These comments can be in the form of commendations or concerns. The intent of the accreditation feedback process is to provide the UNC Police Department with support needed for continuous improvement and foster the pursuit of professional excellence.
