Security Services

The mission of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Police Department is to support the daily functioning of the University so that it can carry on its educational, research, athletic and business activities. This support is accomplished through development and implementation of crime prevention programs, detection of criminal activity and apprehension of criminal offenders, protection of individual Constitutional guarantees, assistance to those who cannot care for themselves, resolution of day-to-day human conflicts, enforcement of State and University traffic laws and the promotion and preservation of civil order.
